City of Newark Vendor Self Service

ATTENTION:

The City of Newark upgraded this application on 11/11/2023.

Due to this upgrade, all users MUST RE-REGISTER for an account.

When you re-register, if you use the same email address as your previous account, your account will retain its data. Please refer to the login instructions below.

Also note, this application works best when used with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.


Vendor Self Service (VSS) provides vendors with web-based access to information on business conducted with the City of Newark. Using VSS, vendors can enter and maintain their contact and remittance information, discount and payment terms and designated contact persons. Vendors also have access to view the following:

  • 1099 Data
  • Purchase Orders
  • Invoice Status
  • Check Status
  • Payment History

LOGIN INSTRUCTIONS:

  • From the Self Service website, click Log In (located in the upper right hand corner of this screen)
  • You now have two options for account authentication
    • Register for a new account with a valid email address or
    • Log in with one of the Community Access Services (Google, Apple, Microsoft, or Facebook)*

NOTE: When you re-register, if you use the same email address as your previous account, your account will retain its data.

OPTION 1 - Register for a new account with a valid email address

  • Click on Sign up at the bottom next to Don't have an account?
  • Enter your Email, Password, First Name, and Last Name
    • NOTE: There are password requirements that will display. This does not need to be the same as your email password.
      • At least 8 character(s)
      • At least 1 number(s)
      • At least 1 lowercase letter(s)
      • At least 2 uppercase letter(s)
      • Does not contain part of username
  • Click Sign up
  • A verification email will be sent from Community Access Identity <noreply@identity.tylerportico.com>
  • When you receive the verification email, click on Activate account
  • Once activated, you will be directed to the User Profile page within Tyler Portico
  • Navigate back to the registration page and click Back to sign in
  • Log in with your new account

OR

OPTION 2 - Log in with one of the Community Access Services

  • Select desired service
  • Log in with account credentials for specific service
  • You will be automatically redirected back to the Self Service website

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Once you have logged in successfully, you will be able to link your self-service account to your newly created profile.

NOTE: If you choose to sign in with one of the Community Access Services (Google, Apple, Microsoft or Facebook) you must always use that option to log in. You will also not have the option to be change your password because you are authenticating through the Community Access Service and using that service’s login information.
